What we collect, and what we do with it
Stated plainly, in the same spirit as everything else on this site.
The one thing we ask for
The application form. That is the only place this site collects anything. It asks about the school: its name, a contact person, an email address, a phone number, a mailing address, the state it operates in, the grades it serves, roughly how many students it has, how long it has been running, how it is governed, and anything else the school wants us to know.
We ask for this because an association reviewing a school cannot review a school it knows nothing about. A school name, a contact and an email are required; the rest is optional, and a school that would rather not answer a question can leave it blank.
About students
This association reviews schools, not children. Nothing here asks for a student's name, date of birth, record or any personal detail about a pupil, and nothing here should. If a school volunteers student information anyway, we will not use it for anything and will remove it on request.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no ad networks.
- No analytics or tracking scripts. We do not watch what you read here.
- No selling, renting or trading of anything a school sends us.
- No marketing email. We do not run a mailing list.
- An application is not published, and applying is not announced to anyone.
Who else touches it
An application is stored in our own database, hosted by Supabase, and the site itself is served by Vercel. Those are the only two. Neither is permitted to use a school's information for its own purposes, and nothing is shared with any other party.
How long we keep it
An application is kept so it can be considered and, if the school is accepted, so the review can be referred to at renewal. A school that applies and is declined can ask us to delete the application, and we will.
Asking us to change or delete something
A school can ask us to correct or delete its application at any time, for any reason, and does not have to explain why. Write through the contact page and it will be done.
If this changes
If this site ever collects something new, this page will say so before it starts, not after.
